Music, Software, Painting
By 2024 I felt that I'd achieved a steady level of quality in my music relases. 'A Walk In The Countryside', 'Cycles & Shadows', 'Gunstorm' and 'The Dusty Miror' were re-recorded and remastered, and new release 'A Drive Through The Town' was released. Each new album now included full sheet music, and a music video for each track, made possible by my video software Argus. From 2024 I began regular open-mic music performances, which were useful drills in live song performance. My singing continued to improve.
In software, Gunstorm, Gunstorm II, and Argus were released on Steam.
In April, my long-planned public commission to paint a mural in the town centre of Crewe was executed, and in summer I dived into painting filled with new ideas. Some aspects of my art philosophy and ways of working changed. My paintings had always been wide ranging in subjects and concepts, some with more overt concepts than others, but now the intellectual aspect became less important, subordinate to feeling and enigma.
