About this sculpture
A model Jabberwock created for the Fall in Green music release Jabberwocky, from the famous poem by Lewis Carroll.
I began by using a modelling wire to create a skeleton. At this point I was uncertain whether the model should be poseable for use in the music video, but I settled on a fixed pose, to focus primarily on a high quality look. The model was covered in plaster bandages and augmented with pieces of pine cone and rose thorns, then etched to create scales before being painted. |

Technical details
The resulting model was used on the cover artwork, and in brief periods in the music video, for the single Jabberwocky, released in January 2021.
