About this painting
A portrait of the philosopher. The composition compares the mind with the world, relating the rising sun with the cranium. The eyes however are covered with red crosses... what does this mean? A lack of knowledge, or internal blindness? This seems to relate to earlier falling crosses, such as those in 31st Century Crucifixion.

The pose is serene, perhaps Buddhist, in thought, the the crosses are disturbing, unnerving, the dawn a beginning, or some sort of end, or indicator of a lack of rest? Perhaps there can be no eternal peace.
