Perseid Meteor

White blades slit the dark sky.
Trails of fire, and wishes.
Cut the arm of night, and pray.
Die towards a day.

Tiny diamond hearts.
Glow with brightness crying out.
Dark red, then orange, yellow, white.
Blazing in the night.
A final micro-shout.
