Summer Smile

As the moonlight falls around
on the grey and dusty ground,
as the clouds roll by
in a frosted sky
over new stars I have found
I can hear your winter sigh.

In my castle prison bare,
in the cold and lonely air,
in this empty place
I can see your face
as if you were really there.

but I know it cannot be,
in this frozen winter's sea,
but I live and while
I walk each mile
I know you remember me,
for I sense your summer smile.
