Kicking The Habit

Well my life with out you's cold about as desolate as any life could be.
I spend my evenings watching the wall
when I should be watching thee.

Well I've been for walks attended talks but everyday I just feel worse and worse
At this rate I am going to die
and I don't mean die of thirst.

Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit.
My habit it loves me.

Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit
because I love T.V.

Well I watch the wall twice daily it's a regular routine I cannot shake.
And I got a dog for something to do,
and I even learned to bake.

And I started reading paperbacks I know you'd think it funny but it's true.
But the drama is a miniscule fix
for the absence that is you.

Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit.
My habit it loves me.

Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit.
Don't feel like kicking the habit
because I love T.V.

And I sometimes dream I've wasted every single precious hour of my youth,
and I wish that I could claim the hours back but they are lost and that's the truth.

Now I wake at seven thirty just to take the dog and jog around the street,
and I sometimes think and talk about you
with the people that I meet.

And I started a new painting class and I met a girl her name is Lucy Lee.
And I went round once to see her at home
but I didn't watch T.V.

Looks like I'm kicking the habit.
I think I'm kicking the habit.
I'm going to kick the habit
now Lucy she loves me.

Looks like I've kicked the habit.
I'm sure I've kicked the habit.
Oh yes I've kicked the habit.
I'll never watch T.V.
