Older

The pain was worst,
at first,
But its amazing
how you adjust to having no one.

And as the years go by,
I sometimes see
other's fly past the window in the street.
They don't see me.

And so I rest.
Try my best,
when it comes,
when it's back,
when my lack of human contact bites,
on those nights.

But soon I'll sleep,
once again,
not care, or dare to dream,
but think,
just sink
back into my loveless
lifeless
sleep.
