Life is Violence

Life is violence.

To kill large numbers of people is violence, to kill one person, to kill one beast, one cell.
To rebel is violence, to object, to push against. To defy.
To deflect is violence, to disrupt and change.
To disagree is violence, if expressed. If not expressed, then the violence is within, but palpable, as ideologies and concepts battle each other.
To change is violence. Every alteration to the universe involves an act by the powerful over the less powerful.
Pacifism is violence. An act of rebellion by the less powerful against the powerful is disruptive.
Sacrifice is violence. By injuring ourselves we cause physical damage, and emotional damage to those who are connected to us.
To postulate is violence. New ideas, new information disrupts, it releases or transforms energy. Every distant war is fuelled by every thought about it and every action concerning it.

Objects battle each other: cup against floor, comet against sun, moon against gravity, light against eyes.
The only peace is inaction, and inaction is impossible because everything that can communicate is always affected by communication at some point.

Existence is war.
