About This Album
The music for Flatspace was originally composed in November 2003. It used Prometheus software, and Noise Station for the extracts from 2002 edition of The Spiral Staircase. This music was synthesized (it was 'calculated', rather than recorded) in 16-bit. By 2025 Prometheus had grown in quality and power over 21 years and 200 updates, and a new 32-bit remaster of Flatspace was created.
More than just the music for the game, the album contains new tracks and segued segments. The last step was creating a new remaster of the 2008 version of The Spiral Staircase, rounding off the album as it begins, in the vast heavens. |
