About this painting
Inspired by a song, this represents the unconscious mind of a comatose patient, a common theme at the time which reflected my contemporaneous emotional psyche.
The waking world, complete with sleeping patient, is shown on the right with bright colours and flowers while the cool and misty internal world of shadows and ghosts fills the lower left of the picture. The roaring tiger represents active intelligence. |

Technical details
The tiger was delicately painted as a second layer over the misty background.
