About this painting
The first version of this painting. I had the idea of a cliff made of coins collapsing followed by a leap to something better. I later made a second painting, Hope, the thing being leaped for, a sunrise over a chessboard of rational calculation, so, the emotion of panic becomes the calm of the rational. Perhaps then, this painting is about investment, not loss.
