About this painting
A painting about urban pollution.

The city in this wide format panel looks almost like 1930's New York. Instead of King Kong we see a dragon to the left, swirling in clouds of brown in contrast to the angular buildings.

Technical details
There are only two colours here. The light blue background was dry before the a liquid brown was rubbed onto the surface, leaving the thin sky visible. The buildings were added deftly with a palette knife, as well as the rough form of the dragon. The stochastic result has echoes Max Ernst who used similar techniques of guided randomness.
