About this event
First of a new open mic and art performance evening, organised by Alice Smith. The event took place at the Park Life café in Queen's Park in Crewe, and included an eclectic mix of types of performance. There were eight acts on the bill, each with about 15 minutes.

Deborah Edgeley and Mark Sheeky performed as Fall in Green, using a lightweight Yamaha PSR-E363 keyboard for the first time. Alice Smith read and acted a poem, an edit of a longer work which she had performed in Edinburgh. A small segment of a drama was acted out, in the presence of the writer who runs a script pitching company. Debbie Breeze and Helen Kay read poems, as did Sheila Blackburn, and the evening included a short story about a meteor impact by a writer from Crewe & District Writer's Circle. Singer and songwriter Carly Street ended the evening with a few songs in a Tammy Wynette accent.
