About this event
The unveiling of the Mark Sheeky painting 'The Last Madonna', with performances specially developed for the night on the theme of the contemporary relevance of religion.
Mark Sheeky composed and performed some new music for the event, and Deborah Edgeley confessed modern sins about social media to a robot priest, before being absolved. Resident artist Victoria Boulter sang two songs, playing her guitar in accompaniment. Finally, Deborah and Mark as Fall in Green performed poetry from the Testing The Delicates suite, with some extra poems Mark had composed for the evening about the loss of religion, a lament for the connection of humanity to nature. |
